We were honoured to be asked by Kill List/Sightseers director Ben Wheatley to produce T-shirts for his highly anticipated next film, A Field in England. The T-shirts will be available to buy from us on the 5th of July (2013) to coincide with the release of the film in cinemas, on Film4, DVD, Blu-ray and VoD. More information about how to experience this film can be found here.
Last night a couple of us were lucky enough to get to see a screening of the pitch black comedy Sightseers at the Mayhem Film Festival in Nottingham. It pretty much ticked all the boxes for me, and is now officially my favourite film of the year. Afterwards, I had the pleasure of meeting up with the director Ben Wheatley and writer/actor Steve Oram, both top blokes. The film is released at the end of the month in the UK. Make sure you go and see this one, it’s definitely not to be missed. 10/10
We’ve just got back from the John Carter UK Premiere which was held last night at the BFI Southbank in London, and we’d just like to thank again all the great people we met who were involved in making the film. If you don’t know already, the story is based on the Edgar Rice Burroughs classic Barsoom series which is celebrating it’s 100th anniversary this month. From novels to comic books, artwork to animation, TV and now film, the Barsoom novels have inspired some of the most creative minds of the last 100 years. With Academy Award-winning director Andrew Stanton (Toy Story, Finding Nemo, Wall-E) at the helm, this film is more than just a fantastic science-fiction epic. There is also a very human story of a man caught up in circumstances that will force him to choose what is right and wrong. This film must be watched in a cinema, do not wait to watch it at home. ★★★★★
Bret Calltharp met Sam Witwer (Battlestar Galactica / The Force Unleashed) in Atlanta recently. Sam’s wearing our Off World Colonies T-shirt – the guy obviously has a great sense of style when it comes to film inspired T-shirts.
