Best Picture September 2013

The Best Picture of the Month Competition winner for September this year is Molly Stapleton. Molly writes: ‘I bribed my little sisters into helping me with this photo. We’re dressed as the good guys and the bad guys (and also possibly the ugly guys) from my favourite film series The Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy to celebrate the final instalment, The World’s End, being released. Despite one sibling getting continually distracted by a cat and the other entering her stroppy teenage phase we had such fun taking these pictures.’ Molly wins 3 Last Exit to Nowhere T-shirts of her choice. If you’d like to enter the competition this month, send your image/photo to: info@lastexittonowhere.com – all entries must contain a reference to Last Exit to Nowhere in some way.

The Best Picture of the Month winning image goes to Paul Bailey for this awesome recreation of the scene from Jurassic Park.

Paul writes: The dinosaur was originally an animatronic model at Chester zoo, which I took close up photos of at the time cos I was planning this photo. I then replaced the crappy painted eye with a photo of my eye, made the whole thing look more dinosauric in photoshop. Then I went to a printers and got it printed out as a massive poster and it sat in my room for the winter months. After dusting it off, took it to a friends house who has a driveway surrounded by foliage, needed for the photo and also meant that didn’t get any weird looks :p Simply stuck the poster to a board and held it up outside the car whilst I sat inside and acted badly. Bit o photoshop to fill in a few gaps and extend the neck and hey presto – a photo I’m proud of :p
